Captain Earthquake is the story of a magical pirate on the only island on half a planet in a dimension far away. We have access to this dimension thanks to a wormhole inside of Lali’s head. The Captain and her friends are slowly telling Lali their story. Lali is doing her best to translate it into colorful and edible chunks.

ABOUT THE SHOW
Some of my earliest memories are of playing make pretend games in the backyard, in a world of my own creation that I’d call “Laliland”. When I played these games, I’d take on many characters, but my primary alter ego was the pirate “Captain Earthquake”, a magical rogue who would cause all kinds of mischief on her many adventures. I must have been around 5 when this character really took hold. In the years that followed, the Captain and many others would reveal their stories to me.
For this series, I directed, animated, filmed, acted, scored, edited, and produced every episode singlehandedly. The show blends live action, 2D animation, stop-motion, original music, and experimental storytelling to build a world of its own. I invite you to get lost within it <3
